Please welcome our new Executive Director!
The Ellicott City Partnership (ECP) is pleased to announce that it has selected Alicia Jones-McLeod as its new Executive Director. Ms. Jones-McLeod has been a supporter and advocate for businesses for more than 20 years. From working with urban enterprise zones, leading chambers, and partnering with local, county, and state departments and agencies, she has served as a guiding resource for the business community in Maryland.
She joins the ECP from the Maryland Black Chamber of Commerce, where she was Founder and Executive Director. Ms. Jones-McLeod is also a volunteer with the NAACP Howard County Branch as both the Women in NAACP Chair and Economic Development Chair; she has previously served in various volunteer capacities with the League of Women Voters, American Association of University Women, and National Organization for Women.
Ms. Jones-McLeod is the mother of three spectacular children—a son and two daughters—and has been married to her wonderful and supportive husband for 20 years. She holds a BS in marketing from Kean University and is currently working on a Master of Public Administration at the University of Baltimore.

January Board Meeting Highlights
- ECP received over 60 applications for the open Executive Director position. After a first round of phone interviews with a dozen plus applicants, five final candidates will be interviewed starting the week of January 21.
- We are moving back to Main Street! Visit us at our “new” offices at 8321 Main Street, Second Floor starting February 1. You may recognize the address as our former office.
- ECP transferred an additional $75,000 to the Community Foundation of Howard County on January 8, 2019. These funds are earmarked to provide additional relief to affected commercial property owners within our charter boundaries. The total raised for direct flood relief after the 2018 flood by ECP is now over $650,000.
