Ellicott City, located in the Howard County, Maryland has a deep and rich history that stretches back to colonial times. Our company is offering a unique walking tour with expert guides that will touch on many points of this great American town’s history and culture.

The Old Ellicott City Walking Tour is roughly two miles long starting at Mt Ida (3691 Sarah’s Lane), next to the Circuit Courthouse parking lot.  We recommend parking in the court lot.  There will be a stop at the Museum of Howard County History for a quick bathroom break, before resuming the tour on Main Street, finishing at the B&O Railroad Museum.
We recommend comfortable walking shoes.

Built in 1828 by one the city’s founding members, the stating point of our tour also feature an extensive collection of historical artifacts from the area. This historical national road features architectural examples from the 18th and 19th century. Full of stories of the past and present, this main drag has a number of shops and restaurants to tempt you after the tour. The terminus point of America’s first railroad line, this station was central to early America’s booming economy.
