For 250 years Ellicott City has been home to residents, businesses and a wide variety of visitors. Early Quaker founders, Civil War troops, railroad men, World War I & II soldiers- all have left their mark. Some have decided to call the town their permanent home! At one time there were four funeral homes on Main Street; imagine some of those dearly departed hanging around today. Spirits who occasionally let residents, shop & restaurant owners and visitors know that they are indeed still here!
Tour meets at Howard County Welcome Center, 8267 Main Street Ellicott City, Md. 21043. Recommended for ages 12 and above. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Discount for Students, Military & Seniors.
