WHO WE ARE
The adventure began on March 20, 1999…
It was a new concept for us but we knew we wanted to sell more home accessories. At that time, we could not possibly squeeze any more into our ever-popular Big Iguana store in Fells Point. So, with just 600 square feet and a tractor-trailer packed with goods delivered straight from Mexico, Su Casa was born.
After moving a few times in Fells Point, we ended up at our current location in 2002 – in the beautiful Bond Street Wharf building on the corner of Bond and Thames Streets.
In April 2000, we opened our second location in the heart of Historic Ellicott City. It was at this time that we realized we needed to move beyond décor and accessories, and we officially got into the furniture business. We started small in an old, two-story bank building but, thanks to the amazing support of our customers, expanded into a larger space at the top of Main Street. While we suffered a bit of damage from the devastating flash floods that ravaged the Historic District in July 2016, we took the time to rebuild and renovate the store. We’re happy to say the store is looking great and we are, now more than ever, proud to be part of the thriving Historic Ellicott City community.
Throughout our journey, we’ve met many talented people that share our passion for quality and design. In order to showcase these special products, we opened our MADE Gallery in Ellicott City in 2015. These incredible artisans work with reclaimed and mixed materials, expert finishes and more. Through Su Casa’s MADE Gallery, you can meet one of our artisans and work directly with them to design a truly custom piece that you can love forever.
Our most fun endeavor yet began in late May of 2016 one block from the ocean in Bethany Beach, Delaware. As a throwback to the first Su Casa, we’ve carefully selected our collection to squeeze as much Su Casa as we can into a mere 1,100 square feet. We’re happy to see repeat customers visiting us at this location and not a day goes by that we don’t bump into someone from “back home”!

Our team of passionate professionals is here to assist with everything from interior design to birthday gifts, wedding registries to creating a one-of-a-kind statement piece.
We carry dining and living room furniture in styles that run from classic, hand-carved, solid wood to sleek, mixed materials like steel and glass – and everything in between. Our leather and upholstered sofas are available in thousands of coverings and, if that’s not enough, most of our upholsterers will let you select your own fabric.
We are here to help you get the look you want. Keep in mind, our employees are some of our best customers too, so we’ve selected only manufacturers that adhere to our high standards for quality and delivery. We are constantly sourcing new products, so if you don’t see it or haven’t seen it yet, let us know, we can probably find it for you.
