Transformative Travel is founded by Ellicott City residents, Aikta Suri and Misty Dhillon. Aikta grew up in Ellicott City, and later met and married Misty Dhillon, joining him in India’s remote Himalayas, outside of India’s oldest tiger reserve. Together they ran a successful outdoor adventure company (specializing in fly fishing expeditions) and ran a beautiful safari river lodge along Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve. There they built their mud house and lodge along the tiger reserve’s edge, and hosted guests from all over the world. It is these experiences of hosting guests at their ecolodge and while on expedition in the Himalayas that informs Transformative Travel’s philosophy when designing a journey. Each of our journeys are thoughtfully designed to offer transformative experiences.
